TSM Review: Cyan's Cradle Hybrid Fitted Diaper

Image
In this blogpost I will be featuring one cloth diaper brand which is close to my heart, Cyan’s Cradle. I was one of the lucky few who bought her nappies when the WAHM behind it started her business months ago. Her creations were tested to her almost 24 months old son who is a heavy wetter baby. When I bought her first few nappies back then, I was pretty much satisfied with its absorbency considering my son was a medium wetter. But I was glad that over time, she improves all her creations which makes us happy mommy and baby. Me and my son started with two nappies from her and later on bought again several. Her first few soakers where tailored in a way where you can opt to use one layer only, two layers or add additional booster to it of needed. Over time, the second nappy we bought was snake style and this time is like sandwich type. But let me talk about the latest nappy I got from her which is one of our favorites, a Mavel kawaii print nappy. Hybrid fitted is compose...

TSM Review: Matte in Detail Contour Kit

Image
Local products has been steeping up with their products at being at par with the foreign brands. If only I have the liberty to splurge on products, I would buy and try them all for you. But I am just limited to what I think is just and somewhat within the budget of other mommies. Because you know, I am a mom and my money is budgeted to the kids. Yes, real talk. Anyway, the product I will share with you right now is the Detail Make Over Contour Kit. I got this from the brand launch several months ago. I know, sorry too swamped with mom duties and sick kids one after the other. Anyway, here it is. Honestly, this is the very first local contour kit I had. If I wasn't invited to the brand launch I would never knew this kit has existed. The ones that I use for contour, highlight and blush are three different brands. I am just happy that finally I have a kit/palette and the best pat is, a local brand too. This kit contains six products in one. Two contour powders, o...

Going green: Cloth Pads

Image
Have you ever-imagined life if there are no disposables? Honestly, I don’t and I thought I would never survive it because I was born to a world where disposables were already a thing. Not until. It was almost a month with everyday day use of disposable napkins after I gave birth that I started itching and feeling very painful on the perineal area. It has never been itchy and this time it was terribly itchy, burning and it was just unbearable. Then my OB told me probably that I wore too much disposable napkins that cause the allergy. She was right. That moment, I finally decided to switch to cloth pads. At first I was quite ambivalent of using it because I just don't like cleaning bloody discharge and sure does takes time. But when I thought of the day that I had the burning sensation, I chose to do the latter than not being able to sleep soundly because of it. You know what? It really wasn't that hard to make the switch. The feeling was quite different f...

TSM Review: Verdon Ne Silky Keratin Hair Spa

Image
The most dreadful time again on my post partum has already started. If only I could skip to the day when I won’t experience this post partum hairfall, I would. But unfortunately, I can’t and will not anytime soon. The previous post partum hairfall has lasted for almost two years. Imagine everyday I have to sweep the floor to a bunch of piled up hair. Yeah. Gross to my complaining kids. But after I gave birth, all I ever wanted was to hit the salon to get myself a treatment. But then again, that is not an option as of the moment. Every body else is busy, by that; I mean the husband and me. So our weekends will be spent mostly for family time and relaxation. Also, I don’t want to splurge just yet, only to waste thousand pesos for a failed treatment when I know I am still on this phase and I can do treatments at home. So the search and hunt for the latest treatment began. I have been hearing about this treatment in social media and a lot of women swear by its effectiveness on th...

Ceelin Plus; Superior Protection for our Children

Image
Our family's DNA has all types of who-knows-what kind of allergies we have. As much as we would like to alter it, we can never change the fact that it is within us. So when I had kids, I was really praying so hard that they won't inherit it. But as inevitable as it seems, they had all sorts of allergies too. I know for a fact being a nurse-mom, that the only way to beat it is to have a strong immune system. Having the knowledge of what I needed to prevent it as well as the trigger factors makes me want my children to have all the nutrition and shield needed in order for them to prevent the occurrence of these allergies. In these industrialized generation, these triggering factors are almost as inevitable as it seems. I know I can never shield my children from it as much as I want to 24/7. The only way we can fight these infections and other what-nots is to boost their immune system and supplement them with the right kind of food. But sometimes you cannot provide them wi...

Vita Cubes; Guilt Free Kids' Treat

Image
Eldest: Who ate all the candies? Daughter: Me!!!! This was the conversation of my toddlers last week. I find it cute at some point but when they start to annoy each other, that's when my ticking bomb will start to tick as well. Oh boy, the joy of motherhood. So, there is an impending need for me to control the sweets in this household or at least have the ability to hide them from the kids. Honestly, I am the mom that would let my kids experience all the things I did when I was a kid. BUT, I let them on the right time. Admittedly, I did delay letting them indulge in candies as well as chocolates just so, they will learn to control it too. Flashback when I enjoy few trips to groceries because it is the only time I can pick the food I want. One of which are the gummy candies which comes in different shapes and color. The colors and shapes of it make it more enticing and appealing to me. When Vita Cubes send out invites to mommy bloggers, I wa...

Museo Pambata; Happy Learning Place for Children

Image
My kids and I loves going places to discover as a family. I enjoy observing their look when they discover new things and when they are too curious with their surroundings. This is one of the joys of motherhood that I am very proud of and that I get to witness each of it. Since my kids are homeschooled, few trips to educational places are always on my list. I always see to it to be able to take them whenever time and budget permits. I have been on the look for places where I can take them and admittedly, some of it is not yet appropriate for their age. But good thing there was an invite with one of the places I have been wanting to go to which also tickled my curiosity, which is the Museo Pambata (Children;s Museum). Admittedly, when I was in grade school, there were only limited places where we go to especially during our educational tours. This is the very first time that I have been to a museum intended for children, as an adult. Yes. In the morning, I was able to atten...

TSM Review: Contigo Travel Mug

Image
Follow my blog with Bloglovin Our small family loves travelling and we rely much on our accessories so we have all the things we need handy. For several months, I have been searching for a water bottle that is multi-purpose. Those that are readily available are made of plastic and admittedly price is quite steep. There was one time when we went grocery shopping at S&R where we came across Contigo brand beverage holders. For a price of more than php1,000 with two beverage holders I thought, why not give it a try. The primary reason I bought it was out of stinginess. Getting two beverage holders for a price of one is not bad. But let me tell you what I really love about it. Stainless steel . The material doesn't hold that much of untoward smell and stain when you place a colored beverage in it. It doesn't have also the danger of ingesting dangers from plastics. ...
