Japchae and Bacon Wraps Recipe

When my son turned three, I could hardly make him eat whatever food I prepare for them. More often, he would only ask for sandwich and can live on it alone in a day. I thought training him when he was a baby eating only vegetables, fruits and fish will not make him a picky eater. But I guess most of the toddlers will really pass through picky eating stage. It’s just quite frustrating though, that as a parent you worry that he’s not getting the healthy balanced diet as he is supposed to.

Now I have to be more creative and think of ways more than one to be able to make him and enjoy the food served on the table. So I have accepted the challenge to make the food delectable and be able to make the picky eater toddler eat. Since he loves noodles and sandwiches, this will be my inspiration for the menu I will be preparing.

This meal is quite a self-serving because I was craving for Japchae the other day. So I am sharing with you my version of Japchae and Bacon wraps.

Bacon Wraps

In this recipe, I used uncured fresh bacon to be able to emphasize the new Ajinomoto Pork Savor which is already complete with spices and seasoning that every bite tastes like real pork.

Ingredients:
  • Bacon
  • Tortillas
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Cucumber
  • Cheese
  • Mayonnaise
  • One medium sized onion, julienned and caramelized
  • Ajinomoto Pork Savor

Directions:
  1. Drizzle bacon with Ajinomoto Pork savor. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Bake for 15 minutes in 150 degreesC.
  2. Heat the tortillas in a pan for 3 seconds on each side.
  3. Assemble the lettuce, bacon, cheese, onion and drizzle with mayonnaise.
  4. Serve.

So that’s my simple and fun menu for the Ajinomoto Pork Savor Challenge. Hope you like it just like my son did.
