"Mama, thank you so much for this. I am very happy today! It's my best birthday ever!"
My eldest turned eight last month. If you have been reading my blog posts, I rarely throw them a birthday party. It has been a thing in our family to celebrate it together with the kids and let them enjoy their day. This year, I didn't tell him about our plans. All he knows is that he is turning eight and that we are going to dine out. That's all.
So after our lunch, we head out somewhere and he was still clueless about where we are going. It was only when we parked near the Enchanted Kingdom that he realized we are going to celebrate his birthday there. The joy in his face was unexplainable. It was every parent's wish to see their children happy beyond material things that we could give them. So we went around inside and rode all the rides that want including the Up up and Away. He was telling me non-stop while we were on queue, "Mama, this is the best birthday ever!" He hugged me as tight as he can and was very ecstatic. We then went in the balloon and as soon as the ride started to get up and spin around, he was crying already! He said it was a bad idea riding the big balloons! Yes, this happened five minutes after he hugged and told me it was his best birthday ever. How could I be such a bad parent for allowing it? He only wanted to try the ride and was there to be his company. But you know the best part of it all? He still wants to try it again when he gets older and bigger. Probably he will not cry when that time comes.
I love the spirit and bravery!
With my kids, I want to invest more in the memory bank that will surely make them reminisce happy thoughts. If possible and if our time and fund permits, I want them to see how wonderful the world is and that is what I want to share with them. They only get to be kids once. Let us enjoy it while we can. It is not how many material things in life is what's important, it's how they are shaped to become the best persons they are growing up--and that is to give them the happy childhood they deserve.
But did you know that happiness comes with a great smile? And a great smile means having clean and cavity-free teeth. I am very particular with my kids' dental hygiene. I don't want them to suffer cavities and not enjoy every food they can eat. That is what I love with this toothpaste for kids because it initiates brushing time. I don't have to tell my children every after eating the need to brush their teeth because they do it without failure. I love how Happee Kiddie Toothpaste makes my kids' teeth clean minus the drama. Make your kids' teeth free from cavities too by making brushing time a Happee time. #MakeBrushTimeHapeeTime.
If you want your kids to know how important brushing is, show them this video.
So, how did you make your kids happy today?

DeleteI always love birthday surprises. It's one thing I wasn't able to do much to my kids. But with my two younger ones, I commit to be extra sweet and generous with them. I would want them to remember and look forward to every family celebration.
