As a stay at home/homeschooling mom to two toddlers, I always think of ways on how I can prepare healthy, quick meals and something pleasing to them. I would always be delighted when they like the food I serve them and most especially if they finish it with gusto. Who doesn’t anyway?

So when I got an invite to Electrolux’s kitchen class, I couldn’t say no because I know I will gain insights that will help me serve my family healthy meals better. Of course, I am very well honored to share my insights with you.Nutritionist dietician, Maria Carmela Taob talks about the anatomy of a healthy kitchen. It should comprise with clean environment, healthy and clean foods and clean food preparation. While trying to maintain fresh produce at home, Electrolux's refrigerator has NutriLight system which helps retain the vitamin content of your food by stimulating sunlight. Amazing idea isn't it? |

Meanwhile, celebrity Chef-mom Rosebud Benitez shares with us some of her easy to cook recipes that are a hit to the kids and a perfect way of bonding. We know very well that element of time is very important to us moms. The less time we prepare a hearty healthy meal the more time we spend making memories with our children. She made chicken, which was so good, and I bet my kids will love them too! It’s amazing how she spent less time in the kitchen using the Electrolux convection stove with half the time that I usually spend preparing meals. |

Now for the health conscious individuals, I am sure Janice Villanueva of Mommy Mundo will delight you. She is into veggie smoothie and shared with us her insights and some of her trusted recipes to us. She also differentiated the differences between juicing and smoothie, which I never realized, not until her talk. The smoothie recipe she prepared included veggies and a part of fruits and used the Electrolux Silent blender. I must tell you, it was so silent that it didn’t even bother while she was babbling. Now, with a little curiosity, an audience asked what if with ice? Will it still be silent? Now she added some ice to the smoothie and yes, still with low sound. |

The last part of the kitchen class was the Bento Making by a fellow nurse/mom Lourdes of Nanay Lunches with Love. Honestly, I tried doing some and it prior to attending the kitchen class and it was really fun especially if your kids will really enjoy the food creations you prepared. But the food preparation entails dedication and little creativity too. This is good for moms who are having hard time feeding their kids healthy meals. You can recreate more ways than one to make the food pleasing to the children. In our workshop, we made a bear bento. Mind you, the bear looked simple but it was very challenging yet fun! |
