2021; The Year That Has Been

As 2021 draws near to an end, I would like to take this opportunity to reminisce and share the most important lessons of the year. The year has been challenging emotionally, physically, and financially to every household due to the pandemic. Despite all the challenges, I am confident and optimistic that this soon will come to an end and things will be better. 



Terrific storms are not permanent.  


Second-year in the pandemic was a challenge for our family. This pandemic felt like there was no clear end and that our law office closed down for good. Like most families and businesses, everyone is struggling with the economy. When everything seemed to be a basket full of uncertainties, our clients started paying their dues, and work came knocking on our doors nonstop. 


You are where you are needed to be.


I always pray for protection, guidance, and good health every day. Every day, vague incidents happen, which I can no longer fathom, but when I try to reflect on it, it is the answer I have been looking for all along. It is also comforting to know that He takes out the weeds slowly out of your life and that God always puts us where we are supposed to be. 


Give your precious time to those who value you. 


People come and go, and that is the only sure thing. I am glad that there is no need to pinpoint those with whom I don't share values because He has ways of taking it out for us. Everyone struggled during the past year, but I thank those that took the time to lend a hand. 


It is okay to cut ties.


Do not feel sorry for cutting ties with those with whom you don't share values. After all, it would be best if you were with people where you should see growth, not a shattered peace of mind.


The past year is coming to an end; let us all be mindful of ourselves and grow as a person. It is not yet too late to prioritize self-care and peace of mind. After all, life is too short of glorifying petty dramas. Make sure to take note of all the lessons the year has given you and focus on what you need to do.
