TSM Review: Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick

After a long time, I will be reviewing another lip product. The demand is slowly dying down with this lip product so I was able to get my hands on some of it. I am very curious as to what they say about this and want to try it myself. 

"Ink your lips in up to 16-hour saturated liquid matte. SuperStay Matte Ink™ features a unique arrow applicator for precise application and is available in 10 super saturated shades."

Let us see what people is raving about this lip product. 

Packaging. I find it classy how they make this one uncomplicated. You can see the color of the product on the tube itself and I love how the color of the tube is a perfect match of the product. The want is a soft arrow applicator that has a hole in the middle which holds the product when applying on the lips. The arrow applicator makes it precise especially when you apply on the corner of your lips. Less mistake and mess for those who cannot make their lipstick on point. Also, it doesn't come with a box which is good because I don't have to accumulate more trash in my vanity. I also liked that they made the batch code visible as well as manufacturing date on the tube.

Formula. The formula is smooth and creamy and glides on smoothly on the lips and no tugging effect. It has a matte finish but surprisingly no drying effect. It is like a second skin on your lips and no tacky feeling. I like that it doesn't stick on my teeth after applying it. So it is really a plus!

Scent. It does have a sweet scent that resembles to pastries. In my opinion, I would rather my lip product smell sweet rather than smell rubber of any sort. 

Swatches. Amongst the 10 shades, I only picked three shades that I liked most. They are Lover, Believer and Voyager. 

Lover is a soft pink color that is also perfect for morena skin people like me. 

Believer is a mauve color with a tad of pink color. 

Voyager is the darkest shade is got from the collection and a burgundy color.

Price and Availability. P299.00 per tube. Pretty decent amount for a liquid lipstick. It is available in all Maybelline beauty counters at your nearest mall. 

Pros: If you are a mom like, you will appreciate that you will not bring too many lip products in your bag for retouch because, we always end up not having time for that. Right? Also, if you like smooching your kids much like I do, you will not worry of lip transfer because it doesn't have any! You can apply lip product before leaving home and don't need to retouch in the middle of the day. 

Cons: The only thing that I do not like about this is that when you had too much to eat especially oily products, the lipstick looks like a paint in the middle of your lips because some of the lip product inside your lips has already some off. But, it still pretty looks decent despite having to munch on so much food the entire day. 

Overall: I highly recommend this product especially to moms like me who has no time to retouch their make-ups. But then again, if you do not have oil based make-up remover which is the only make-up remover that could remove this, you can try using VCO for this.
