If you have been a follower for the past years, I have stated here in this blog that once, I had that fit physique. But after giving birth to the little girl, it has been so hard to shed off the excess adipose considering the strict compliance with my food and the physical endurance. Recently, we also decided to enter the world of biking but since it is an outdoor activity, we won't be able to do it when it's raining.

For those who ask if home workouts are as effective as hitting the gym, the answer is a resounding yes! With the right mindset, a strong will and proper equipment, the journey to fitness can be achieved even at the comforts of your home.
Consider these simple tips on how one can exercise regardless of weather or time of day:
Wear workout clothes
Dress the part. Wear the proper exercise attire to get you into the mood and make it easier to move around and exercise.
Keep it simple
Know your goal and choose the proper exercise regimen, whether to maintain your weight or further strengthen the body; best to start slow and simple, with some stretching to prepare the muscles for the workout.
Fitness coach Ghel Lerpido from Chris Sports, the complete sports shop that offers quality fitness products to athletes, sports enthusiasts and exercise buffs, said there’s a big difference between stretching and warming up. “Stretching provides flexibility and prepares the muscles for exercise. Warm-ups, meanwhile, help maintain blood flow so you avoid injuries.”
When stretching, Lerpido suggests starting from the lower parts of the body going up. Do muscle stretching for at least 40 seconds in each part (feet, larger leg muscles like the thigh, hips, back, shoulders, arms and neck). After stretching, do simple warm-up exercises like jumping jacks and high-knee jumps. For beginners, warm up exercises should be about 30 seconds to 1 minute while for the more advanced, try doing 2 minutes non-stop.
Workout options can be short cardio exercises, strength training, and even 10-minute total body workout. The possibilities are endless as long as you have a goal in mind.
View every home activity as an opportunity to exercise
Whether it’s general cleaning, taking out the garbage, walking the dog, picking up kids’ toys in the living room via lunges or squats, or even climbing the stairs, can be an opportunity to do a little exercise. Better yet, do these with the kids or the spouse for that unique bonding activity while keeping in shape.
Have the right equipment on hand
The best option, of course, is to have the right equipment available. Chris Sports has a wide range of top-of-the-line gym equipment that is easy to use and highly effective for those who wish to work out from the comforts of their own home.
