Batang Superbook, Bida ng Pagbabago Road Show

I was raised Catholic by my parents. In my entire school age I studied in Catholic schools and embody Augustinian and Vincentian values. Being a parent, I would also want my children to follow Catholic beliefs so as early as now I am slowly introducing that belief in them. I take them to church for as long as I can and slowly incorporating in our lives Papa Jess.

I am glad that my little boy has positive response to it that every time he sees a church he tells us that we need to get inside to visit Papa Jesus’ home. Though he may still be rowdy inside the church, I still teach him the proper values and behavior.

Few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited at the Batang Superbook Bida ng Pagbabago Roadshow. I thought, my kids would enjoy the show as well as the exciting activities.

I was telling the little boy about it that we would go to the mall and watch a movie on a big screen about Papa Jesus and a robot (Gizmo) at least to prime him what our activity will be. Unfortunately we were late and arrived 30 minutes past and the show had already started. The area was full of kids and parents watching. I thought my son would enjoy it. When we were going down the escalator when he started screaming and told his dad that he was scared. It was really unexpected because there were a lot of kids inside and maybe somehow it would motivate him to join. It was again an epic fail event for him. Instead, the little girl and me went inside the activity area to watch the show. She was very attentive with the magician and I guess she was amazed of the new things she saw there. Whenever the magician asks for volunteers, she would raise her hand! She must have been so excited to try out the talking board as well as the birds being shown by the magician.

My attentive little girl

I am so glad to be a part of the event even though it was only the little girl and I. I hope that my kids will be ale to watch the show every weekend.

It is with us parents that we impart the change as we try to mold our children’s characters in order for them to imbibe good morals.

How do you impart good morals to your kids?
